Meet your Instructor Jill
Hi! I’m Jill, the owner and head instructor of Big Horse Riding Academy.
Horses have been part of my life since childhood, and I have more than two decades of hands-on experience in riding instruction, horse training, barn management, summer camps, and lesson-program development across several states.
I created Big Horse Riding Academy because I wanted to offer something deeper than traditional riding lessons. My goal is not simply to teach students how to stay on a horse—it is to help them become knowledgeable, capable, and confident horsemen and horsewomen.
At BHRA, horsemanship comes before riding. Students learn safety, grooming, handling, tacking, groundwork, horse care, and riding skills through a structured learning program. Along the way, they also develop confidence, responsibility, patience, leadership, and respect for the horse.
I believe horses are partners and teachers; progress should never be rushed, and every rider deserves to learn at their own pace. Whether someone is meeting a horse for the first time, returning to riding after years away, or ready to deepen their skills, I love helping them find their place and become part of our barn family.
In addition to leading BHRA, I serve as the Equine Operations Manager for Manes & Miracles, where horse welfare, safety, and thoughtful care remain at the center of everything I do.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: KAMERON
With 40+ years of experience with horses and 25+ years of teaching, Kameron brings a lifetime of horsemanship, knowledge, and a genuine love of horses to every lesson.
Kameron teaches all aspects of horsemanship—both mounted and unmounted—helping riders build confidence, improve their skills, and develop a better understanding of their horse. Lessons are available for beginners through intermediate riders, from children to adults.
The goal is simple: learn, grow, and have fun! Kameron believes riding should be an enjoyable experience while always keeping safety first. Whether you're just starting out or looking to take your riding to the next level, every lesson is tailored to the horse and rider
